460 S&W and 450 Bushmaster enthusiasts
Before I knew much about what I was going to be reloading I mistakenly bought a box of bullets for both of the above mentioned firearms approx 2 years ago. Anyhow I was curious if anyone would be interested in a trade of some kind. (Considering they weren't cheap and are non returnable especially after the length of time) I thought at the time I was buying these for the 45 Colt. The bullets I have are 50 of the 200gn hornady FTX for the 460 Smith. And box of 50 250gn FTX for the Thumper. Again if interested I'd entertain the thought of shipping at my expense. I load 45acp and 45 Colt. Which I would prefer materials for. Also would accept items for the 357mag/38 spec. 222 rem. 257 rbts. Bullets are most desired considering the national shortage. Please consider and please help. Thank you.

Well tmd I don't at all disagree I actually had a post asking that question on this forum. And a lot of folks agreed with you. There are several reasons I am turning it down. One and the biggest I did actually speak with hornady. They condemn the act and can not recommend loading. Second its such a fine hunting bullet meant for expansion and I'm a paper and can shooter. Third the bullet has a long ogive and I would have to alter the bullet or trim the case and I am interested in neither. So I think its best I try and get rid of them. I know my attempts are feeble and again I'm sure I could load them and probably be fine but I feel better this way.

Only thing special about Hornadys .452 mag bullets is they have a thicker jacket with withstand the velocities of the .454 Casull and the .460 mag. I have a .460 and have shot both of these bullets in my .45LC blackhawk. If your just shooting paper they will work just fine. If your using them for hunting loads then you may not get the proper expansion that the lower velocities of the .45LC.

Yeah the hornady tech mentioned the jacket. Well for fun what's your load for these bullets? If you don't mind me asking. I'm shooting an old vaquero.
