Berry's bullets and 230gn 45 ACP - Page 2

I've used Universal for years with the 230's.

I pulled my recipe from Hodgdon's website, they have data listed for 230 LRN.

I have shot probably 2000 berry's 230g RN in my 1911 with Unique and Bullseye powder. 5.5 grains in both powders are very accurate.

i use 4.7 gr bullseye on 230 grain berrys.

fired out of the following

thompson
christensen arms classic 1911
colt gold cups x2
springfield loaded
springfield trp
colt defender
cz 97 bd

all shoot very well. I recently started using the berry 185 gr hb 45 bullets and like them alot more and they shoot even better with a charge of 4.1 grains.

Great info. I think when I'm done with my HS6, I'll try bullseye next.

It is great to see the input of load recipes especially concerning powder charges; however, I have noticed that there is often very little information about OAL and ...ft/sec.

I'm using 5gr w231 with Berry's plated lead 230gr. Works great so far.
