L.C. Smith 16 Guage with Miller Trigger
I have a relatively narrow request for information. I have my grandfather’s L.C. Smith Ideal Grade 16 guage. It has a Miller trigger. Years ago, a jack-leg local gunsmith screwed up it’s guts. Now, only one barrel will fire at a time. The problem was later diagnosed as a problem with the sear. The selector will cause either barrel to fire, but once the first barrel goes off, the sear won’t engage the second barrel.
At one time, I had heard that Miller was still in operation and that they might be able to repair this fine shotgun. Anyone know how to contact them? Any other folks out there have specialized ability concerning these guns? Need a specialist I think because other very skilled general gunsmiths have looked at this gun and not been able to repair it. Thanks, Jon |
