44. mag for rifle

I just picked up a Marlin 1894 in 44 mag. Can I shoot my same reloads for my Revolvers in this rifle? I usually load Nosler 240g with either Herco,AA#9 and sometimes H110. Sorry if this question is dumb. Ive been reloading for pistols for 10+ years, but this is my first rifle. thnks

Absolutely.

I own an 1894S. When I first started reloading, I loaded some up for the Marlin, which can use heavier loads than the handgun. Got confused which ammo was which. One Time. Ended up pulling everything.

Nowadays, whatever I load for the handguns, gets used in the Marlin. No confusion.

Any safe for your pistol will be safe to fire in your Marlin. I had a Win 94 in 45LC and actually used some pretty darn hot loads in it with no problem.
You can also use Brass cases for your pistol and Nickle cases for the rifle, that way you don't get confused as to which one is for what gun. in case you hot load for the rifle.

Asbolutely! That is exactly what I did with excellent results. Some people said that the Marlin with Microgroove rifling wouldn't shoot cast lead bullets well. Guess someone forgot to tell my rifle because it was very accurate and no feeding or leading problems. Good luck with your gun.

One thing you have to be aware of is that certain loads that fit your revolver MIGHT NOT work in the carbine because the OAL is too long to function through the action. Loads with a Keith type bullet such as the Lyman 429421 or RCBS 44-245-KT or 44-250-KT may be too long in the nose to function. You'll just have to try them and see. Just about anything else is no problemo. My favorite load in my M94 was the RCBS 44-240-SWC seated deep over 17.5 of 2400. It was crimped just over the front driving band, and would consistently put 3 shots in an inch at 100 with a 3x9 scope.

Find some RNFP bullets. They feed a lot smoother than SWC's. Other than that, if it works in the revolver it should work in the Marlin. (Those are all good powders that you listed. 2400 and AA-7 are also good ones.)

max load

My two most accurate load for the 44 is out of a Ruger Lever Carbine.
240 gr Hdy HPXTP with 25.0 gr H-110( full load!!!)
200 gr Nosler HP with 27.2 gr of W-296
Neither of these loads are whimpy !!
