Myrtle Beach, SC. Best prices

The family is going on vacation in a couple of weeks to Myrtle Beach, SC. I'm low on supplies and wondering what's a good place to buy primers and powder in the Myrtle Beach area? I'm looking mainly for primers and powder.

Normally, I buy online, but if I can beat the Haz-Mat charges I might give a business there some of my cash.

There's a place in Summerville SC (near Columbia) that has a big selection of stuff. The guy sells brass on gunbroker I believe. I haven't been there yet but several people have told me about it. It's on the way to MB.

There`s a BassPro shop availability is limited on primers ,but a good selection on IMR & Hodgdon powders.

Then Myrtle Beach indoor shooting range , Very nice place to shoot but prices are premium to say the least but have it in stock most of the time .

There`s a couple in Wilmington NC (1 hr drive 1 way) that cater to the tactikool bunch , been to shooters choice 1 time & left without buying anything.

I`m sure there`s some smaller shops maybe in the Conway or Pawleys Island area that`s slippin my mind at the moment.

The place in Summerville is ATP Gunshop & Range 1-843-873-2250
Been there many times , ( buddy lives in Cottageville) prices are OK ,but is an impressive set up IMHO.

Have fun & enjoy the Low Country !!!

Wilmington area is not too hot for reloading supplies. The best in the area is Rocky Point Sales. On hiway 210 heading south from I-40. Good selection, fair prices, nice people (beware the "attack" cat 'Ghost'). Check the web for their specials.
If in Wilmington, call 910 3921986 and I'll try to hep with problems.

If your route takes you through Columbia check out Sportsman's Warehouse at Piney Mountain Road and I-26.

Might be a little far for a day trip from the beach if it's not on your way.

If you make to to Sportsmans Warehouse on Piney you might as well head to Palmetto State Armory. They are on the frontage road behind sportsmans. Good selection and excellent prices.

I checked out their reloading section last time and found prices to be very reasonable.

I also picked up NIB Kimber Solo for $604 a few weeks back, shocked to even see one in stock - much less at a great price.

jclayto (is that you, Jon? Crunchy Frog is "Corpus") is right; Palmetto State Armory is another great place to visit in Columbia. They are opening an indoor range next to their store on Fernandina but I'm not sure if it's open yet.

When I was there they didn't have prices marked on the reloading components so I wasn't sure how they matched up with SW. Their gun prices are good; occasionally they put their AR stripped lowers on sale for $50.

"Myrtle Beach" and "best prices" does not compute...

Myrtle Beach is the biggest "tourist trap" on the east coast...everything is overpriced, especially in the summer...

crowbeaner, we need to get you out to a cowboy match! jclayto will tell you what a surly and unfriendly bunch we are but don't listen to him.

Next cowboy match is Sunday July 22; the next Sunday we are shooting Wild Bunch (break out the 1911s) which is a treat.

PawPaw, I was talking to a friend today who had taken his 11 year old son to a large Bass Pro Shop in Myrtle Beach.

Might be worth a look.

Shooters choice is out of the reloading business. Guns only.

All the Best,
