^^ well, sorta.

Making the 26 into a 19 is fine for occasional use, but if you always want to shoot with a full sized grip, it's a little disconcerting to feel a slight looseness at the bottom of a "converted" 26 grip.

I'd get the 26 over picking up a spare 19. The 26 is just so very versatile and is easier to conceal.

Is there a lot of difference in performance---no. I have both and the 26 is much more concealable. The tradeoff is obviously controlability/follow up shot speed. I use and shoot my 26 a good bit so I'm confident with it now but it took more time than the 19 or 17.

I have the 19 and a 33. I find that I carry the G33 most often because it is a little easier to deal with when concealing. I usually pocket carry it.
