PTG or Clymer ?
I need a 30-06 Finish Reamer, both are the same price.
Which is better, I read a couple reveiws that the Clymer has a tendency to chatter. Which do you prefer ?

I like PTG, but Clymer makes a good reamer. Most of the time. They had some dimensional issues a few years back, but supposedly they got that under control.

Why not rent one? They are usually worn in a little. The chatter usually comes from too sharp a reamer or too much clearance. I agree with Scorch. I had problems with Clymer a couple times and have not used them since. I was making them, then someone told me about rental places on the net. I do so little work now that renting works out great. Sure a lot faster. I don't know who makes them, but I have had no problems yet.

Think I might rent one from Elk Ridge.
They use PTG and it is only $45 total with shipping
