Ordered a P220 Carry Elite Dark

I just couldn't stay away....

It's been a while since I sold my last Sig and while I prefer to carry a lighter, higher capacity gun like the Glock or M&P... the feel of a Sig in my hand is unbeatable. I'm not even a huge 1911 fan, but I love the feel of my TRP in my hand.

On a whim I decided to check around to see what was in stock for P220 Carry models.... much to my bank accounts dismay, Bud's had the P220 Cary Elite Dark in stock... I stuck it on layaway with $500 down and I should be able to pay it off at the end of the month...

I swung by my local shop on lunch and they happened to have a regular P220 Carry in stock so I got to handle one. Now I'm even more anxious.

Ditto. Only thing that came close for me was a Beretta 92.

Congrats! Layaway is the way I buy too. Nothing beats it in my opinion. (having all the money available at once does, but shh..) I agree with the feel of a SIG in the hands. Love mine O_O

Thanks guys. I was also pleased to see that it appears Sig has reduced the size of the beaver tail. While I do actually like it, it didn't need to be as large as it was. The new design looks better, in my opinion. I could do without it really. I bought the elite for the srt and night sights.

You're going to love it! I purchased the SIG P226 e2 when it came out as the e2. It came with the SRT and night sights. Carried that thing for 3 years and 3,000+ rounds through it. That gun really has my heart. lol

Awesome! I really enjoy carrying and shooting mine it is a little heavier than some of my other options, but it shoots very nicely. Be forewarned the grips may be a little thinner than some other types, but I got use to them pretty quickly.

Oh ya, I have a ton of experience with the SRT. I wouldn't buy a Sig without it these days (I'm still not sure why they don't ALL include it by now).

Pics will be coming once it comes in of course!

Sigs I've owned and regrettably sold:

- P229 Stainless Elite
- P220 Stainless Elite
- P229 Equinox (40S&W)
- P229R (9mm)
- P229 (older, non railed) (40S&W)
- P239 (357 sig)
- P239 (40S&W)
- P220 Carry SAS
- P220 Compact SAS
- P226 (W German)

I think next on my list will be a P226 in 9mm. Either Navy or Combat

That looks like a list of sadness to me

The only two SIG's I have now are that 226 I mentioned and my W. German P220 with the folded carbon steel slide.

I've been carrying my Glock 19 for the longest...I have SIG withdrawal on some days, not going to lie.

Sold a couple of knives over the weekend and got enough to pay off this beauty. The ACH transfer is settling at Buds. I know it'll take 5 days or so for the funds to settle, but that's okay. I'm on vacation from this Friday through next Wednesday, so by the time I get back, the gun should be waiting for me.

Same here. I want the thinnest configuration practical when carrying a pistol concealed in an iwb holster (which is how I tote my SIG 220 Carry).
