Remington 1100

Harley, I just bought a used Remington 1100 in 20 gauge and need instructions to detail strip. Can you help me?

I have one of those too.

1. Lock the bolt open, and check for any rounds in the magazine while you're there.

2. Unscrew the magazine cap.

3. Remove the foreend and barrel forward to the front.

4. Remove the rubber gas seal ring to the front.

5. Remove the gas piston and the piston seal ring to the front.

6. Press the bolt latch and ease the bolt closed.

7. Push out the two large cross pins on the receiver.

8. Remove the trigger group, rotating it from the rear of the gun.

You can continue to disassemble from here, but I usually just hose it down with gun scrubber, then lub everything and reassemble.
