It arrived today!

Ain't it purty?

This should be a fun plinker in whatever grade of 45 Colt I throw at it. I don't carry these beasts through the wilds looking for critters so I don't care too much about the weight. Besides, that extra mass is what helps tame the harder kicking loads.

If everything goes according to plan, I'll have my Ruger death match tomorrow. Handling both at home, I think the Redhawk is going to send the Super Redhawk packing. I originally bought the Super to have a double action heavy 45 Colt revolver and have no real interest in 454 Casull.

Nice! That sure looks like a fun one to shoot.

Those grips are really very pretty. Now quick, get 'em off that revolver before they hurt someone!

Mine is blued, .44 Magnum, and from 1985. It runs wonderfully, but it wishes it looked as nice as your stainless one!

wow! what a awesome Redhawk feets, but IMHO keep both Rugers, cuz you can simply scope the SRH and use it to put meat on the table if you get bitten by the handgun hunting bug.

Beautiful, looks like you got a really nice set of wood also.
I think the Redhawk is going to send the Super Redhawk packing
You know that if you put the two of them in the safe together after 9 months you could end up with a SP101?
Don’t get rid of the redhawk.
If you reload give these a try, 270 thunderhead.

It's a handsome gun that'll last several lifetimes. BTW, keep both!

Oz, you mean these Thunderheads?

Granted, those were my old 460 loads but I've got a variety of pills to feed this thing.

The Ruger death match is set to begin shortly.

OOOyeaaa!
He (Penn) is going to make the thunderhead in 44 soon. I will buy a bunch when he gets them going.
How did you like them?
I got a small sample of them (25) and out of a Ruger Blackhawk they were impressive.
The red tip, those Hornady FTX? I couldn’t get them to work worth a darn in 44.
I will be waiting on the outcome of the RUGER DEATH MATCH!
