Sticky Lapua brass

Has anyone ever run across 308 Lapua Brass being difficult to slip into the shell holder when it is brand new, never fired? I bought a box of 100 from Cabelas and was resizing them to make every thing uniform, a few needed triming, but when putting them into the shell holder for resizing, some where difficult to get in. I always heard good things about the Lapua brass

Yes ..... Im pretty sure ...... I have been reloading, but I have been using Federal, Hornady and Winchester brass before, some of the Winchesters did the same thing as well as one or two of the Federal cases but I figured that was becuse of a previous hot loads causing the case to expand to much due to high pressure, these Lapua cases were brand new out of the box

I've got several shell holders you can't get any case in. Sounds like yours may be a little too tight. If you want more shell holders that your 308 won't fit in, just PM me, I'll be glad to send 'em.

That's the correct shell holder. Brass can be slightly off size sometimes. Even Lapua.

I had the same problem with some NORMA 9mm. Sometimes the exotic brands are made a little different from the "normal" brands. Do the regular brands fit OK? If so, may have to get another," looser" shellholder.
