"Off Target" Forum
Just an idea....
I think it might be fun to have an "Off Target" forum were members could discuss other non-firearm related subjects. Certainly, topics that could be deemed inappropriate like things of a sexual, religious, social or political nature don't have to be allowed to prevent it from becoming a haven for flame wars and web trolls. However, it would be enjoyable to discuss things like cars, music, beer, sports, and just whatever other dumb stuff we all like to discuss. It could help strengthen the unity of the forum and definitely keep people more active on the other boards too. Just a thought.

I knew it wasn't an new idea.
I just noticed the "sticky" about more or less this same subject.
Sorry, if I resurrected a dead issue. The original was from 2005, so I admittedly saw the date just skipped over it, like I would an old thread without even opening it. The TFL is by far the best gun forum on the web. Keep up the good work. Thank you, - EdInk (P.S. I still think it would be a fun forum and the users would appreciate it. Maybe it could be reconsidered at a later time.)

I just saw ANOTHER request similar to mine for an off-topic forum.
Truely, I apologize for what appears to be a constant sore spot. I would like to make another suggestion. Replace the exsisting sticky about this subject with one in ALL CAPS and BOLD FONT, so it stands out better. It may help reduce this problem. The guy in the last thread skipped over it too. Take Care & Shoot Safe.

This is one of the most common requests we have at TFL. The answer has been uniformly no for over a decade, and it will remain no for the foreseeable future.
I suggest you try this forum: www.armedpolitesociety.com It's quite off topic. Since you've discovered the stickies dealing with this issue, I don't see any reason to keep this open.
