Rossi 92 .357 carbine

I just picked up one of these little things used for $200. I just put 10 rounds of Winchester white box 38 special through it tonight. The last round ended up with a light primer strike, and did not fire. I loaded it back in the chamber, and it fired just fine.

The firing pin doesn't seem to have any tension holding it to the rear... Should there be a firing pin spring holding the firing pin to the rear?

Any help would be greatly appriciated,

I don't think so, but you might want to ask here:

The light strike could be caused by crud around the firing pin, a weak main spring, a burr on the firing pin, etc.

I don't believe there is a firing pin spring in the Rossi. There isn't in mine.

Thanks for the help and advice. I'll break it down, clean it, and check for burrs. If it still has problems, I'll contact the smith.
