Kinda depends on how "used up" you are looking for. I have seldom seen anything at a gun show that wasn't advertised as "never been shot" or only had a few rounds through it, hence; justified in charging 'new' price for it. A no name shooter, if you can find one should be had for under a C note I would think.

Thanks Okie, that's what i was hoping to hear. I'm just looking for something to take out and bust some clays with a couple of times a month.

It would be easier to get the few names to avoid... Most offerings will be very serviceable so long as not slap wore out wobbly.

I have a 870 with an 18 inch barrel. I would get the full sized barrel for it, but a new barrel is nearly as much as a new gun.

SxS guns that you are likely to find are the new Stoeger coach guns, possibly the new Norinco coach guns and then the older, used Stevens or Savage 311 series guns. The older Stevens/Savage guns are solid working guns and can be found in the $350 range +-$50 depending on version and condition.

I personally don't buy Chinese guns. The Stoeger Coach guns seem to have a decent following.
