Concealed Carry Magazine

I recently received an "offer" for Concealed Carry Magazine. Other than possible concerns about having the postman deliver a magazine by that name, does anybody have any thoughts on this publication? Is it worth the $24.00 per year?
Thank you.

I think it's worth the price, which is why I am a subscriber to it.

Yes, it is WELL worth it.

I have been a subscriber since the very first issue (one of the first 500 subscibers) and LOVE the magazine.

Take care.

I got a free copy sent to me when it first came out, and really enjoyed it. However, I think the subscription price was almost DOUBLE what it is now, so I declined for financial reasons.

Hmm....sounds like I'm gonna reconsider. I enjoy a good magazine, especially one tailored to CCW.

Not a bad read, but they seem pretty dead-set against anyone/anything that doesn't toe the party line as they preach it. I think you can get beter info at a better price if you shop around the other magazines. My $.02

I think you can get just as much disinformation on line. Why spend the money for more? Bet the mag is just packed with ads for CCw holsters, badges, and 'tactical gear'.

A bit rough around the edges, but I think you'll find it's worth your time. That's why I spend my hard-earned money on it.

I like it, that's all I have to say.

Different people have different tastes. I hate the "turn to page ***" crap and both SWAT and Concealed Carry doesn't have these "features".

It all depends on what you, the customer, want. If you like to turn to page *** or don't mind it then go with guns&ammo, combat handguns, whatever. That is the power of your wallet; you make the decision on what you wish to pay for.

It's like picking out the guns that will be by your side, and the holster that it will be in, it takes years to narrow it down and then decide, and I've decided on what I wish to read and if that differs from any others, then that shows that we are different (individuals) but have the same passion and wants.

And that is all that counts .

Well, some magazines seem to think that I'm a mercenary hunting communist terrorists in Angola....

Some magazines are oriented toward cops and SWAT ninjas...

Some have lurid gun-porn photos of yet another 1911, which has had $5000
worth of custom work done on it...

Some give me a glimpse of somebody shooting an IPSC gun which is a revolver the size of a suitcase, with an extra jumbo scope on it...

And then of course some magazines give me puff pieces on the latest
.17 magnum pistol, or drag me down muzzle-loader lane....

BAH!

From what I've seen, Concealed Carry Magazine is a better value than
all the other gun rags out there put together.

Mannlicher, if you are going to denigrate a magazine oriented to concealed
carry for advertisements of holsters, I really have to wonder what the heck
kind of ad you might be looking for?

I think CCM might still have their offer to send a free copy,
why don't you ask them for a sample before you say something silly again.
If you want "tac gear" or a "CCW Badge", look in SOF, Guns&Ammo,
or American Handgunner.

Good Magazine - solid content, good outlook

I like it. I signed up as a new subscriber after getting a sample issue sent to me and after talking to a few others. Solid magazine that's very "down to earth". I believe its content is good and continually getting better.

Before everyone beats this magazine up:

I like others have been a subsriber since it was printed like gunweek and cost 50 bucks per year. Quality and content has gone up exponetially in the last six months.

This magazine is dedicated specifically to aspects of concealed carry. We have a few board members here and on our sister board THR who are regular columnists for it. (Who I know personally, and have shot with. They know what they are talking about.)

I say give it a try- It's getting much better(and cheaper) rapidly.
