Hi folks,
Do we have a president yet? No...oh well. I have come into a couple of pound cans of Norma Powder #200 and 205. Has anyone had any experience with this powder?

Norma powders.
Joe. Never used the stuff, but according to the 3rd ed. Hornady loading manual's burning rate chart, Norma 200 falss between Winchester 680 and IMR-4198. Norma 205 not mentioned in 3rd ed. I had to go back to the Speer #9 reloading manual. They place N-205 between H-4831 and H-870. I probably have whatever data you might need for those two powders, but I'd have to look to be sure.
Bob Hagel was a big fan of N-205, but he said that there was some large differences in burning rates between lots. That's why I never tried the stuff. Paul B. |

N205 has been my favorite powder for the .270 and 7MM Rem Mag for many years. I found it somewhat slower than 4831 and it is more dense which helps for loads where 4831 is a little too bulky. Jerry
