prairie dog hunts colorado?
Hi everyone. I'm new to forum and am interested in p-dog hunts in colorado [denver] or wyoming. 2-3 hrs drive time would be ok.
1 day hunts would be good. I've found prices from $50 to $950 on the web. I'd hate to spend serious money on this just to find it can be done resonably with a little experience. Thanks for any help. |

I have some friends who own a ranch out here and they just go out into a field and shoot prarie dogs with shotguns and .22's all day.

I've only lived in the area about a year and with today current political climate i don't feel comfortable knocking on farmers doors. Farmers are usually very good people but now days no one wants a stranger at their door asking to shoot. The liability is to great.

Buzzcook has a good idea there. Farmers and ranchers around here look upon prairie dogs as pests. They eat out root systems and destroy crops and such. You very well might have luck in that area. The worst that can happen is the farmer can say "no."
