I haver a question that might sound stupid but where can I buy a pair of elbow and knee pads? I am going to be taking a firearms course that rtequires these. Thanks for any info.

I don't know of any made just for shooting. Try any store that sells in-line skates. Those pads should work just fine.

I got my kneepads at Lowes. They have velcro straps that are a bit long in my opinion. Good for tiling a floor, but you can't get them tight enough to keep them in place when repeatedly going prone, etc.

I've seen some nice ones marketed for rollerbladers. Most of them are packaged so that you have to cut or tear the package open to try them on. Cut or tear the package open and try them on. Don't wait till you get home to find out that they suck.

Got mine at Sports Authority, in the skating / skateboard section. They sell packages including both elbow and knee pads.

Greg's right - make sure you try them on before you buy - elbow pads as well as knee pads. And, if you're going to wear them over pants / shirt, try them on that way as well.
