That new Marine pistol, the M45, is not intended to be general issue. It is for the Spec Ops type Marines. Which is why the order is not all that big. Most Marines will never see one.
And the Marines have started using a new M9A1 pistol, an enhanced Beretta with the rails for lights. That is the new general issue pistol. Bart Noir
