Issue with Blackhawk Sportster
When sliding the pistol in the front of my trigger guard seems to catch on the retention piece versus pushing it aside so it can grab the back of the trigger guard. If I push the release button while holstering it works just fine. Looking into the holster I can see where the trigger guard is impacting and causing an abrasion on the retention hook.
I've tried adjusting the retention screw, but loose or tight the same results. Any suggestions? I bought this purely for range use so it's not a big issue but it would be nice if I could fix it, and have it work as intended. |

Disassemble
Sand the top edge on more of an angle Reassemble Don't sand the wrong edge.

update: After repeatedly holstering the pistol and it catching on the retention hook, it seems to have worn the hook enough to allow it to slide past without catching on the front.
Thanks for the input, I was thinking about it, but I guess the trigger guard did it for me before I needed to take it apart lol. |
