Reply to specific poster on thread
When I create a thread and then several posters reply to my post sometimes I have a question for a specific repondent. From what I can tell, replies are created at the thread level. It would be nice if each respondent to a thread had a reply button so you could reply to a specific repondent instead of replying to the entire thread.

Are you talking about responding in private? The private message feature is available.
If not, then all you need to do is quote their text and type your statement below that. It's best to include the handle in the quote. Refer to the sticky posts in this forum...

Yes being able to quote a specific repsonder to one of my posts is what I was looking for. My suggestion was to, basically, add a quote button...thx

I use a far simpler method.
I copy the text that I either want to quote or reference, and paste it into my message between quote marks. For example: "My suggestion was to, basically, add a quote button..." My response: Thanks for the suggestion, but it's not going to happen. We had a quote button once, and it was sorely abused. People would quote entire messages, some quite huge, just to add a few words of comment. It was hideously annoying. By removing the quote button, we stopped the quotards dead in their tracks.
