Advice on chronograph - Page 2

I reloaded years ago for a lot of years and then dropped out for over 20 years. Got back into reloading last year and I had always "gone by the book" for velocities..etc. But then I ran across Crony and bought one. Reloading now WITHOUT a chonograph..to me at least..is only 1/2 done. I dont use it much..true...but when I do..the results go down in the book and I KNOW..beyond a doubt what my velocities are.

I like to load "SOME" ( not a big bunch) of loads up near MAX PERFORMANCE without getting into +P pressures...BUT...I DO have a recoil threashold..and when I go above that..I cant hit SH**!..lol Second shot is aiming at the moon. But by reducing powder a tiny bit to get her back under control...and NOW I know where that slug weight / velocity limit really is...well..it just makes reloading a lot more interesting!
