Possible misdirected, but who else to ask?
Going through some oddments of article printouts I came on the following by Jeff Thomas, posted at TFL July 14, 1999, time stamped 01:23 AM.
I ran a search for the article, H.L. Menken on Gun Control however it does not seem to come up, possibly I might be blowing it. It's an interesting article, worthy I think or sending to any number of public officials, appointed and elected things, and others smitten by the Gun Control Syndrome. Any help in finding the post, amnd accompanying article would be appreciated. Thanks. Alan |

First of all the writer's name is Mencken. He was a renowned newspaper writer from Baltimore in the first half of the 20th century.
If you're looking for the original article, it may not exist on the internet. You might be able to get a copy by requesting it from the the Baltimore Evening Sun. |

I thought you had found the thread since you had the poster and the date/time of the post (it doesn't get much easier than that), and were looking for the original newspaper or magazine article.
