Recoil spring question(CHEAP gun)
I have a Jennings J22 that I've owned forever(first handgun),and I decided I'd like to resurrect it a bit.It seems the recoil spring is shot and I want to replace it.It appears as if I'm going to have to improvise a bit,so I need to know if anyone could tell me how to know what spring to buy?Parts are not available,at least not as a Jennings part.
I currently own 2 Para Ordnance pistols,a Steyr S40,and a Kahr K40,and I'm aware of the questionable quality of this weapon,so please no commentary.I don't plan on carrying it,just want to make it work right. It's just a nostalgia thing,I guess.Thanks... |

Numrich catalogs a Jennings J22 recoil spring.
http://www.e-gunparts.com/product.as...KU=450060A&MC= Otherwise, you could measure the wire diameter, the coil diameter, the guide rod diameter, and call Wolff and see if they had anything comparable without a huge custom order price. |
