Where's My Shotgun?

Suburban wild turkeys at our rental house, north Asheville NC, taken yesterday.

Wow.

I'd let You borrow Mine!!!

How 'bout RimFire? Think that'd be quiet enough for the neighbors?

Thats a wonderful sight. Living in the middle of the woods its not unusual to see many turkey/deer in the yard. Every year when a huge cherry tree in the front yard starts dropping cherries the turkey come in droves. They`ll all be at the edge of the yard and send one or two up in the yard to see if the cherries have started falling. If those two 'scouts' stay and eat the rest will come. Funny to watch. To date the most we`ve counted at one time was 47. Simon, when can we expect the detailed pics.of the turkey roast?

A turkey roast, great idea!
Seven stuffed turkeys on the oak spit! I bet that would be good.

We have had this house 7 years, the turkeys just showed up a year ago.
These are smart birds, no shooting allowed in Suburbia!
Some of the neighbors are feeding these birds, when you get out of your car, they walk up to you looking for that cracked corn.

I'm not a turkey hunter but have buds that are and sure as shootin' come opening day of turkey season those boogers will NOT be around. I think they are smart enough to read DNR rules and regulations!
