I'm away from my references: What was the year of manufacture of a Government Model with a 16xxx serial number?
What's the horseback guesstimate value for NRA 90%-95%? Thanx, Art |

hi, Art--
According to R. L. Wilson, in COLT, an American Legend, If a military Govt model, year of production 1912, by Colt's. If there's a C-prefix, for a commercial pistol,: C5400--C16599 were in 1914 C16600--C27600 1915 Either way, such a pistol in 90--95% original oughta be pretty valuable--Much more than I could afford. Which means over $500. Seriously, though--something over a grand. I'll try to look in a Blue Book of Used Gun Values (?) on Tuesday. How's the traveling? Are you in Austin yet?
