Fitting a conversion cylinder?

This is a peitta new Army C&B. The issue is getting the cylinder pin to fully insert into the rear of the frame with the new conversion cylinder and cylinder ring in place.

I have removed material from the new cylinder foot using a file and this has allowed me to fit both the cylinder and ring into the frame, however, the cylinder pin does not insert into the rear hole in the frame.

The directions state that if the cylinder pin cannot be inserted fully, remove material from the "screw" that is not allowing the cylinder pin to seat.

What is the "screw"? Is the screw in the frame or is the screw on the new cylinder?

There does not appear to be anything in the frame that is binding the pin from seating in the rear of the frame.

Thx...

Is it a Kirst single firing pin type? With the flat on the bottom?
If so I'm told the pin is just a tad out of parallel maybe .002/.003 call them but I think they will tell you just take a few thousands off the flat that keeps the backing plate from rotating.

yeh, the conversion cylinder is a Kirst - separate ring - no loading gate, single firing pin ring.

I took a bunch off the ring "foot" with a file. So I should keep on filing?

Thx...

Email them they are very good at answering emails.
Have you tried just the cylinder by itself and just the backing plate by itself?
