Size of screw on Single Six front sight?
Anybody know the size and pitch of the front sight screw for a Ruger Single Six 22 cal? 8x32 is too big and 6x32 seems to be too small.
Thanks Jim |

Gun sights usually use fine or even extra fine screw threads to minimize the chance of backing out under recoil vibration. So yours is likely to be either 6-40 or 6-48 or 8-36 or 8-40. Brownells carries these, but I would just call Ruger and get the right screw. They'll sell it to you, or they might even send you one free.

Thanks for the reply. You are right, it is an 6x40. Found them at the hardware store in black believe it or not! |
