Japanese matchlock long pistol?
can anyone give me any information on this matchlock? age,value..all I know is my father got it during or right after ww2.any help would be appreaciated.

It is going to take pictures, GOOD pictures.
It might be war loot from a museum or family collection or it might be post war souvenir quality. |

Thanks for that, I have pictures but they say there too big or to many kb,I dont know how to make them fit....

Japanese matchlock pistol
Dear Gilj.
Saw your nice pictures of the jap matchlock that you have.what i can see from the pictures it`s a nice antique gun you have.Probably a pistol that was used by the samurai on a horse.It`s genuine and probably from the 19th cent. CanĀ“t really see from the pict but ev there are some perts missing near the hammer mechanism.Please enjoy it and take care of it.(if not sell it to me) Regards Anders |

Hi, gilj,
What software are you using? If you have XP, you should have MS Picture Manager, which has a section on reducing size for internet transmission. If you have Photoshop, you can make the picture any byte size you want. Most pics from the camera are in the megabyte range, but you can get very good pics posted in the 100 kilobyte range or less. They will upload and download faster, too. Jim |
