Right to Shoot From Above
I understand that legislation has been introduced in Oklahoma that, if passed, would allow anyone who pleases to fly over your land and shoot wild hogs from an airplane. Not many farmers are comfortable with that. I certainly wouldn't be. Anybody else?

In Fla the hogs are considered to be "livestock property" of the owner upon who's land they are currently on...
Shoot my pigs and the pilot will get a contact when i get the "N" number traced to a plane owner... Brent |

OP, are you sure that bill doesn't specify on state or public land? I am pretty sure that other states that allow aerial hunting do NOT allow this on other people's private property.

I'd also point out he said introduced. Not enacted. As we've seen, just about every legislative body has "that guy" that doesn't think his legislation all the way through and wants to give you a $2000 tax credit on a MSRP $665 revloving chamber shotgun. Or "that gal" that wants to ban shoulder things that go up because they're on scary black rifles.

The permit may be issued without limitation by statewide season regulations or bag limits. The permit shall be carried in the aircraft when performing management by the use of aircraft. B. Pretty clearly just a law written typical of most depredation laws...
Not a L&CR event... If someone feels this hunting related law needs discussed, please fire up a new thread in the Hunting forum... Brent |
