Scored ammo at walmart but box was 80% empty?

I scored 5 boxs of 9mm last night, but when they opened the box of 20x50 rounds there was only 5 boxs of 9mm, 3 boxs of 7.62 and 2 boxs of 30-06, is the factory packing it like that now/walmart main hq or did someone swipe the ammo and using it for themselves at walmart? I saw her open it(the tape off) and it was packed with card board/paper board then ammo udner it.

That was the whole order for the store... Dist. Ctr. used a large ammo carton... ORM-D or whatever markings as required already on the box...

I'd be happy that your Walmart is allowing more than 3 boxes to be purchased at a time. All the ones in our state have a 3 box limit posted and adhered to.

hogdogs is absolutely correct. I work in the retail world and it's very common for distribution centers to use whatever large boxes they have handy to pack smaller boxes/items into when they ship to the stores.

No my walmart is only allow 3 boxs, I just happen to have a family member come with me that night to help buy lol. There was like 7 people in line but only 4 came back. I guess they forgot.. ? I went to another walmart today and bought 3 boxs of 12g. You can't beat $13.97 for 9mm when gunstores want $25...

Shipping 10 boxes of centerfire cartridges. Can you imagine that was their allocation? No WONDER ammo prices are slow to rebound. It's still hard to find...
