I like the Eichhorn Gamelkarlby Express. (Spelling approximate for obvious reasons, I no longer have the magazine article.)
A real wildcat dreamed up back when Guns & Ammo was a moderately technical publication. |

I've always had a soft spot for the .357 Bain & Davis. As a youngster, I was taken with the name simply because of it's name. My hearing has never been great, but I would have sworn I'd heard two guys discussin a cartridge called the .357 Bangin Davis. I thought, "Well that's certainly the round for me! If the guy that invented it (obviously Davis) thought the thing went 'bang' with enough authority to cause him to stick his name on it in such a way, well then yessir- that's exactly what I want!"

Just because of how it sounds
The "5.6x61mm Vom Hofe Super Express".
It is a more or less European version of the .220 Swift. I see no record of a 'non-Super' version, so one must assume the name is partially a fit of marketing enthusiasm.
