practical tactical training for Bolt Action?

In my military service, I've trained both with semi-auto rifles(M4 & M16), pistol(M9) and pump shotgun. I am considering making a "scout" rifle out of my Mosin Nagant M44, and I need to know if there is any tactical training drills I can do w/ a bolt action rifle. Budget constraints have me limited to books and videos for now. Any help?

Mas Ayoob did a series of articles on using the bolt action for tactical purposes, IIRC. You might try LFI and see if that is available.

Shooting is all relative. Practice shooting various distances at various size targets from various positions at various time intervals. No one drill will make you an ace, but if you can pick up the tool and put a shot on target you'll be proficiant. Good luck

#1 consideration in running a bolt or lever gun. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS run the bolt (or work the lever) and come back up on target. Condition you self to always find that target you just shot in your cross hairs or in the sights, then relax if you don't have to shoot again.
