guestimate age of this shotgun
This shotgun was my great grandfathers. I can't find a serial number on it and the only letters say Batavia Leader.
It has Damascus twist barrels. Does anyone have an idea how old this gun is and approximate value. If not, does anyone have another good site/board where I might find out. Yes, I do know I shouldn't shoot it (although my dad used it for pheasants as recently as a five years ago) Thanks. |

Thank You! I had scoured the net previously and not really found anything. I appreciate your help. Now I can hang it on the wall
and not feel so dumb when someone asks about it |

I found a serial number this gun. Will that help me find out what
year it was made? I'd buy that fjestad book if I thought it would give me the answer. |
