Colt Python Grips?

Hi: I recently purchased several box lots of firearms related items at an auction and this set of grips was in one of the boxes. They look like SERVICE GRIPS, which was used on the 2 1/2" PYTHON. They measure approx. 1 7/8" across the base. They were in a Colt bag with a part number on it #51287-9 thats just a partial # as the rest is not readable. And I realize that since the bag was opened it doesn't necessarily mean they were in the bag originally? There is a set like these on EBAY now that are up to over $70.00.
