Seeking advise/opinions on new project
Hello,
This is what I am thinking of putting together, its main purpose will be target shooting at 200 and 300 yards. hopefully longer ranges someday. 6MM BR Rem 700 Short Action 24" Bull Barrel Barrel as it is shipped from manuf. turned down a few thousanths to put a finish on it ( probably Douglas ) BR Stock ( Probably McMillan ) Jewell BR Trigger ( 2 OZ ) my ?? are Did I pick a good caliber to do what I want to do? What is a good barrel twist for 6MM BR? Aprox how far is this cartrige accurate too? Are these all good parts to use for this? Thanks in advance, Bob |

Go to www.benchrest.com and ask on the centerfire board. This is what these guys do. IMHO I think you got a winer. Twist 1 in 14. You mite want to go with a coustom action, or at least have the Rem trued.
