Where to find videos/DVDs/HOW-TOs about field dressing?

While I've found a few short videos (nice ones tho) for free on the net, most take for granted that the viewer has *some* knowledge of basic stuff like "what a liver looks like". I never even got to dissect a frog at school. I grew up in a place where there was NOTHING to hunt, so nobody knew anything.

Some people suggested that before attempting to field dress any big game, I start by skinning/deguting small animals like squirrels and rabbits.

Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestions!

@ hotdogs: I'm close to Orlando, a little bit far away from the panhandle I'm afraid.

@ wwwjd: thx a lot, checking it now.

IMO, Kentucky Afield has a very good video on processing a deer. They cover everything from field dressing to doing your own processing. IMO, it is a very well done video.

Tim Farmer is the host and Sim Harp is a professional butcher.

Here is a clip on YouTube on field dressing.

I happened to look at a KIndle e-book list the other day. They have a good number of shooting/hunting books available and one of them was a butchering video. Apparently you can put these on your computer without having a Kindle .

Just roll up your sleeves and "dive in"!! The object is to get all the innards out and even if you don't know what you're doing you'll probably accomplish it!

Maybe a bit "old school", but there's a book called "Gut it, Cut it, Cook it - the deer hunters guide to processing & preparing venison". Costs about $25 & pages are laminated so you won't bloody them when using as a reference. Should be able to order through Amazon.
