storm lake barel

I've got a storm lake barel ordered for my glock.Has anybody heard of them?Are they ok????

I got a .40 cal barrel from them that dropped right in and works flawlessly.

Inexpensive doesn't always mean cheap.

What's the purpose?
Make a Glock much more accurate? Mine is fine as is.
Ease your mind about loading cast bullets? Takes a lot of shooting for it to pay for itself.

Was considering an aftermarket barrel for my Glock 23, since I have heard about the kaboom factor on the 40 s&w glocks due to an unsupported case, do the aftermarket barrels elimanate this potential problem? I reload for most of my guns and the comments I've heard on the boards have made me a bit apprehensive every time I pull the trigger on the 23 with my reloads. Never had a problem but the thought is there every time I take it out.

I have an older G22 that bulges the heck out of the cases. Plus shooting lead would be a bonus.

This is the company that SIG has used for their barrel in their new 1911 style 45. The barrel is made by Storm lake and I do not know if Sig eventually will make their own barrel for their GSR 1911 style ( Granite series rail ) or will stay with Storm lake. The GSR is extremely accurate so I would't worry. They seem to have a good reputation and I read where another top name smith uses them but who slips my mind at this moment.

I've currently got a Storm Lake barrel/bushing in two of my 1911's. Very accurate and reliable. Their quality seems consistant.

Thjey have changed hands so I have no idea of how good they are now. I would hazard a guess that they are OK.

Sometimes people want another barrel because they want to switch calibers. I really wanted a Glock Practical in .357 SIG but they don't make such a thing. So I bought the G35 and then put a .357 SIG barrel in it. And I use Glock 31 mags. No problem!

I didn't buy the barol for safety as i trust my glock.I simply wanted to shoot the 357 and possibly use it for a carry instead of my 40.This was a cheap may to do that and still keep my beloved gloch 27!
