Uberti 73 rifle barrel threads left or right?
Going to rebarrel a uberti 73, and do not have the replacement barrel yet. If I had the barrel in hand I could see from that, but with the barrel in the receiver I cannot tell. Anybody know?

I would say that it is virtually certain that the threads are right hand; I can think of no reason they would be otherwise.
I hope you have the proper receiver wrench for that job, as well as the proper bushing for the barrel vise; it is very easy to crush and twist that receiver. Jim |

Right hand it is. I just took the barrel off with an old pipe wrench and lead hammer. No worries though, as it only twisted out of shape a little and I hammered it right back to square...... just joking, I have the correct tools for the job.
