Foxpro fx3

Who owns and uses the foxpro fx3, Iv'e been thinking about buying one and just wondering if they are worth the 400 dollars. any comments would be appreciated since this will be a big purchase for a poor boy.

i have one and have used it for several years. i recommend getting the gel battery pack.

I've been thinking about purchasing a Foxpro FX3 myself. I would like to hear more comments from those that may experience with them.
As for the gel battery pack how much longer does it last over the regular batteries.

Less about FoxPro, and more about money: The FoxPro advantage looks to be the remote-control feature. That's neat.

My years-ago alternative was a "baby boom-box" tape deck with detachable speakers. I kept the box with me, and ran speaker wire on out to the speaker location some fifty feet away. A bit of a hassle, sure. But for $20 or $30 or thereabouts...

Back to your regularly-scheduled programming.

If I recall (been a while since I used the regular battery pack) it lasted about 1.5 hours of loud calling (crows). The gel battery will just about hunt all day.

Not sure about the type of area you hunt. I hunt more in a wooded terrain here in Kentucky. I bought the new Spitfire. I'm sure it is not the loudest thing going because of its price point. But it works well for the wooded areas I hunt.

Try looking at electronicgamecalls.com they usually have some good sales going on foxpro equipment and others.

Has anyone had any experience with the Minaska electronic calls?
I also believe Western Recreation makes a eletronic call that looks very much like the Johnny Stewart 512 model, anyone have any experience with these?
Thanks for the comments on the Foxpro.
I had an older Johnny Stewart 512, I could hunt with it all day and never run the battery all the way down.

The new foxpros are very nice but one thing people cant understand is overcalling. It is very easy to overcall with electronic callers.
