I bought my 15-22 last Tuesday and got out to my son's back yard range this past Sunday. As it was 13 degrees and a couple of feet of snow on the ground, didn't stay very long. Put a hundred rounds down range, 50 each of Federal bulk and Winchester bulk. There wasn't one FTF or FTE. This one is a recent build having shipped from SW this past November. I tried slow, normal, and rapid fire. All went fine. Couldn't do much of an accuracy test due to conditions but at 90' we were denting an old 12" saw blade regularly. Will test it further when conditions permit. This is the most fun I've ever had with a .22 rifle.

I am happy to report that my 50% failure to eject ratio appears to be fixed!!!
*the masses cheer!!!* Thanks to your video Utah I did the fix and got to the range this evening right before they closed. They let me go on and fire one full clip and I actually was able to empty the clip as fast as I could pull the trigger. No more ejecting every other bullet to clear the spent casing! Finally I get to say I like this gun and look forward to getting a full range session with it soon. Thanks Utah. And for others with the ejection issue, definately just do the quick fix rather than sending the gun back in. No need to waste 3 weeks sending it in for a simple 1 minute fix. |

Very cool! When I'm in the market for another .22, that will most certainly top the list.

put a vortex strike fire on mine this morning and took it to the range to sight in and play with. I shot another brick of 500. Its now up to 2000 round without a burp of any kind and i havent even cleaned it yet. At 1000 rounds i pulled the bolt and put a coating of tetra grease on it but thats it. I cant speak highly enough about my opinion of this little popper. think ill have to clean it tommarow though as its a bit grungy. Im sure its on the ragged edge of some reliability problems. Still impressive though as ive never made a 1000 round in a 1022 before they started acting up.
