Usually this is done by a new member, ignorant of TFL rules and courtesies.
However, one recent example is clearly a guy who is unconcerned about courtesy. I would think the moderators don't appreciate these folks, and I'm sure many members would also prefer to avoid the waste of time in seeing the same thread posted in various forums. I suppose these members think they'll get more answers by doing this, but I find it simply irritating. Is it worth adding something like the following to 'Forum Policies'?: 'Please choose the appropriate forum for your thread, and post your thread in only one forum.' A minor irritation in the big picture, but seemingly a more common hassle lately. Thanks. Regards from AZ |

I couldn't agree with you more, Jeff. And you're right, we don't appreciate the duplicates. You don't know how many times I am tempted to simply delete the duplicate thread rather than close it with a nice little post.
Rich - I think Jeff's suggested addendum to the rules would add some clout to our closing of duplicates. |
