After being away from the shooting sports for 22 years, I thought I'd ease back in with a new 870.
I could be wrong but it looks like the legal department got after the trigger - roughly 10 pounds with enough take up to remind one of a 2 stage military.
Anything to be done about this? Thanks in advance.

Dragonfly, you have two options here. 1) buy a Hastings adjustable trigger $224.95 or 2) take it to your local smith and see what he can do. If you don't have anyone near you feel free to e-mail me. George

Thanks.
Your advise on the hastings brightened my day - I was afraid they'd all been litigated out of existance when I couldn't find Canjar on the web.
