The REAL cause of all these shootings

To me I can't understand why these new "blood and guts" video games are not "adult only". What kind of mental damage are these things doing to the young children that play them? Am I the only one who wonders this? I mean these things are graphic if you've ever watched them being played.

And why are all the movies now competing to see who can make you vomit over all the blood and gore and human limbs being ripped off etc etc.?

Even TV has this same kind of stuff. The writers of these shows don't know how to make a movie with a plot so just jam it full of violent crap.

Go after this kind of stuff and maybe we wouldn't have all this senseless killing. These people would kill with swords, bows and arrows or knives if there were no guns. I wish some politicians could see this and go after the real source.

While worth considering, meditations on violence in the media don't really fit into this particular forum.

BTW from Glenn - the data are very problematic. It has surface validity but the current research does not support media violence as a major factor.

A search on Google scholar can bring up the relevant issues.

Please don't conclude about things that can be easily researched.

I know it's tempting but don't.
