My Rock River Arms Tack Driver
It started about three years ago with the purchase of a new RRA lower. Soon thereafter came the LPK, then the stock. I mounted a Velocity Arms dedicated 22 upper on it. It was a hoot to shoot but I wantd something different. I have been talking to a buddy that hunts Texas Yotes and West Texas Prarie Dogs. I have hunted all my life but these are two prey that I have yet to harvest. I have several AR's but felt something better was needed. I started looking for something that would meet my needs. I have found such an upper, made by RRA, their Varmint special with a bead blasted stainless Wilson Barrel. After mounting a 4.5 X 14 Fullfield II and a few shots at the range with some Winchester .223, I am very happy with the results.
The first shot at 100 yards was a little high and to the left of the bull, after sighting in at 50 yards. A click on the windage and elevation turrets and I was where I wanted it. The rest was a bunch of fun. The bull in the top left corner was one where I was trying to hit all 4 corners of the orange pie sections and one in the bull. The best grouping was in the lower right bull. I even shot at the numbers "0". Adding a two stage trigger really helps with the tight groups. Heres a few pictures of the gun itself.

RRA is under rated. RRA makes fine weapons. Would not hesitate to add more to my collection.
Nice to see you got a good one just a I did. Hard to find anything bad about them, except the what "chart" disciples say. |

My RRA Predator Persuit commonly shoots into 1/2 to 3/4" at 100 with any good reloads.

My RRA shoots in the .2" 3 shot groups at 100 yards. I have the PPR with a 6-24x50mm Nikon Monarch SF scope in Burris Extreme Tactical rings.

I have been researching reasonably priced, accurate AR uppers and eventually settled on an 18" RRA ATH to top off my RRA NM lower. Here is a link to the ATH upper specs http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.c...ategory_id=527 For less than $650 shipped (I ordered from Pete @ Legal Transfers) it comes with a 3/4" moa guarantee. Now I just have to wait the 5-6 weeks until it shows up and then pics and range report.

try a 20 shot group and see how well it does. My RRA can do about 1.5" 20 shot groups at 100 yards.
