Sks Jamming
Hello i have reecntly purchased a yugo 56/66 sks.
My sks has the grenade lancher attachment. It alos has a gas shut off on the front of the rifle by the grnade sight. This rifle was full of cosmolene so I took it to the shop I work in and cleaned it in the solvent tank. I have not took the rifle down completely for a good clean. I thought id give the rifle a try, when I fire the rifle on the first shot the bolt dosent move it Jamms forward. Then it takes both hands pulling to remove the spent shell. I am using the wolf brand ammo. With out any round in the clip or chamber the bolt moves freely. A link to a good breakdown would be greatly appeciated. Also i am looking for a stripped bolt handle for a mosin 38. thanks Darrell Henry |

That should help you get a good start Edit: I guess I should have read the post above mine before posting the same link twice

Do the full cleaning and check the headspace. Then change ammo.

I was in a local gun shop, they had three yugos just like yours, they were being sent back to Century for bad chambers. I would check the chamber.
