Tonight I have 200 .45 Colt loads to get reloaded... Well, start anyways. Going to need to order up some more 250g 'bullets' as running low....

I started yesterday working up a new bullet-powder combo.
Barnes TTSX130 grn. For my .270 win, using H4350, CCI 200 primer and Hornady brass. I hope it shoots good.

Loaded 150 158g Lee swc 38 special with 3.4g bullseye, this seemed to be the best load recipe from this weekend's testing.

spent a good amount of time at the bench this week. Monday was 9mm (300), yesterday was .204 Ruger (35), today was .260 Remington(40). Wife is wanting to go to the range next week so I need to crank out some more 9mm and some 38's for her

Well traumajunky as it turns outI narrowed it down between 52.6 and 52.9 grains of H4350.
I got less than half moa with three out of four of the test round in each of these two weights..no explanation for the flyers though i was excited and I should settle down more when I shoot for data. All in all Im sure of the accuracy, now Id like to see performance in these Barnes TTXS bullets.

My Hornandy lock n load ap came in the mail today. It took a while to get it set up and running properly. I was using Lee dies so it was a little tricky getting it to cycle properly. Long story short ----- 400 40 S & W 165 grain----- headed to the gun range if it don't rain me out tomorrow .

Went ahead and used the 52.9 load as jt had the least verticle deviation, and its center was nearest my original zero. And soeth I loaded thirty rnds, and they will go to the deer and coyote woods.
I'm really happy with the presision and accuracy of this bullet, hopefully this bullet performs pn game as well as targets.

.45-70 Govt.
I am not happy with the Hornady New Dimension dies at all. The expander is giving me a pain in the posterior with brass that is the same of uniform length. For every 3 cases expanded 2 are over expanding. If they would have had any other brand of dies on the shelf I would have bought them. Oh and I am sure it is operator error so I will not bash a brand. More times than not it is my error that is causing the problems.

I just completed my last two boxes of 40 S&W...I now have 1000 rounds loaded.
180 grain Berry's RN with 6.7 grain Longshot....they shoot nice! Now I still have 500 rounds of 9mm to load, for a grand total of 1000 rounds. I'll get cranking on that tomorrow, I figure it'll take me at least 5 weekends to do it, 100 rounds/weekend. |

300 blackout
Been working on 300 Black for awhile now. Going to finish this box of Hornady 110 grain V-Max then work on some 125 grain Nosler B/T. Had problems with the last batch of 125's, going to see if I can figure out what's up ! I am headed for Sedalia Mo. next week to pick up a few boxes of Sierra 125 + 135 grain bullets, hoping to get a good match with 1 of those weights in that brand ;-)
LC cut + reformed brass Hornady 110 Grn V-Max CCI # 41 primer 19.8 grns H-110 @ OAL 2.040 40 rounds of this, then go to 125 grn B/T's. Have about 70 of those left. The 110's usually give me about 3/4" groups @ 100 yards. I LOVE THE BLACK ! Sota Arms Complete Upper 16" Stainless Bbl w/muzzlebreak/flash hider YHM mulit-cal Lower, w/CAA 6 position stock 4-16x40 Tasco (load test scope) 45 degree angle iron sights Last edited by wldtrky; December 9, 2012 at 08:34 AM. Pistols & .308's
I've been loading up some light 125gr. 308's, some 9mm's, & .45acp pistol loads too. I'm using HS-6 & Titegroup with the pistol loads and RL15 & IMR 8208 XBR in the .308. Winchester hollowpoints in the pistols and Sierra #2120's in the .308 also. .300 AAC Blackout is next on the list to reload after I go have some fun shooting them. I just cleaned up my reloading bench. I forgot what it looked like.

Today was productive so far, trimmed, camfored, and cleaned primer pockets on 50 .243 win. cases.
Then I made up some test loads for the 25-06, using Winchester Supreme 780, IMR 4350, and IMR 4831 with 85 grain Ballistic Tips. As soon as the weather gets a little better, I'll take it to the range.
