Traveling to VA, WV Would like some info on CCW laws

Hey guys, goin on my yearly trip to skyline drive this columbus weekend and I'm very excited to be able to actually exercise my rights.

Back info, I've had a UT CHL for about 8 months now... However I've only traveled with it to PA. I know the PA laws very well (they're actually really great and lax) but I'm not so familiar with VA and WV's laws. I tried googling to find a state run website outlining everything but alas my "google fu" is lacking.

Any info you can give me would be awesome, specialy some links to state sponsered info. Going to be doing lots of driving so I'll spending more time in my car then anything.

^Has all the links to state legislative website on the info pages for each state.

Virginia and WVirginia both honor Utah's permit... however, if you're driving, Kansas and Illinois do not. You'll want to check the laws in those states regarding vehicle carry.

Not as long as it's in accordance with state and local laws:

Also, push comes to shove, open carry without a permit is legal in Virginia. Even in the National Park.

One more thing I've yet to find out,... If I'm stopped do I have a duty to inform that I'm carrying in either va or wv?

No for either state according to hangunlaw.us

[It's at the top of the page for each state.]

I agree that the uscarry.com is a good reference.
