Holster for Summer Carry Kahr P40
I have a Kahr P40 that I would like to CCW this summer with a light shirt over it like an untucked t shirt.
I could go with a Milt Sparks, but for this gun, I would like something more like $80-$120, leather(I think, but I could be swayed), easy on/off, and really comfortable to carry.. Any ideas? What do you use? Looking for something which hides the butt well. |

Concealed simple strong side holsters...
Do you want custom? Kydex or polymer? Leather? Open style or level II?...
For your pistol, Id check these popular brands; Galco, Bianchi, Alessi, DeSantis, Kramer Leather, Don Hume, Safariland, High Noon Holsters. CF |

Kydex or leather ok. Open style with no thumb break.
Custom or off the shelf, as long as the grip is held tight to my body. |

I'd suggest a metal or polymer band to aid 1 handed re-holstering....
I'll dig around too just for fun. I'd suggest a holster with a metal band or maybe a bodyshield to aid re-holstering.

High Noon Down Under. This model comes with either straps,
...or a J hook, Brown version is in your price range, http://www.highnoonholsters.com/Prod...nder_clip.html And the leather is top notch - I use that top rig every day of the week, even in hot AZ summer weather. |

Kahr Forum
Some people over at the Kahr Forum, and me, think a lot good thoughts about pjholsters. He advertises that he will, within reason, custom make Kydex holster the way you want it made.
Since, at that time, I spent a lot of time seated behind the wheel, I asked for a more fwd rake and slots for a 1 3/4" belt with some wiggle room. After a couple of conversations all the details were nailed down. As received, the pistol 'clicks' into place, has the requisite 'fat tab', fits a 1 3/4" thick belt, and a more fwd rakish presentation angle. Price was reasonable as was the delivery time. Good stuff. salty

Thanks; AM....
Big ups to AM for the HighNoon Holster pics.
That could do well. I looked into a Skin-Tite holster for my PX4 Storm(C format) 9x19mm in 2009. ClydeFrog |

Has anybody tried both High Noon heights? I'm wondering which would be better for me...
Thanks for the pics. |

Well...if you want adjustable height...this one costs a WEE bit more, but has 6 adjustments in the front, 5 in the rear, and can go from standard IWB to aa tuck-able IWB with just a slip of the clip.
