9mm reload

Can someone recommend reloads for 9mm using 135g LRN. I will be using Unique or Titegroup. They will be used for target shooting on a 25 yd range. Usually using my Ruger P89..Thanks for any suggestions..

what kind of bullet are you using ? Are you sure about the 135 grain - I think that's a little unusual ( 115 and 124 grain are common ) - even a 121 grain and a 130grain ) - but I don't think I've ever seen a 135 grain ......

Lyman has 3.4-4.5 for 125 grain at 1.115 oal and 3.2-3.8 for 147 grain with unique.I would start on the low end of the 125 grain and work my way up.

Is 6.0 gr. unique too much for 115 gr. My reloading manual does not list 115 gr.

5.8gr is the max load listed in Lyman's 48th edition.

If it was me, and my gun could handle +P+ loads, I would keep at least 1 magazine loaded with 7.0gr of unique, just in case I was attacked by zombies.

Thanks Antipitas. I will stick with 6.0 grs and hope the zombies do not come my way. Dean

Try Titegroup

I buy bulk 135 gr LRN from Dillon (willcall) and they shoot great with 3.6 gr of Titegroup & Win SP primer. Be very careful with your seating depth, seat as far out of the case as your gun will reliably feed and chamber. This load is very accurate in my Baby Eagle and is very light on the recoil. Also, use a Lee factory crimp die on your final station - I have never had a jam in over 10K rounds.
Good luck. - Rick S.
